01/Breakdown

PlayStation Advent Calendar 2025

PlayStation — delivered via agency partnership · 2025

A localized PlayStation campaign app where I owned frontend delivery: PSN and social auth, a live engagement dashboard, five integrated Phaser games including real time multiplayer, push notifications, and consent-gated analytics — built to Sony's internal accessibility standards.

Document Editor & Pagination Engine

Screenplay-writing product · 2025

A screenplay editor's pagination package was breaking on long documents — page splits calculating wrong, the editor freezing under load. After an incremental-rebuild fix didn't hold up, I solved it with throttled rebuilds, idle-time batching and safer DOM measurement, then forked, documented and published my own maintained version to npm.

Role-based LMS

Professional work · 2024–2025

Learning platform spanning courses, career ladders, skills assessments and organisation management. I built the product UI and contributed across the backend, data and CI, including Auth0-based user and organisation management, a drag-and-drop role builder, and graph-based assessment reports, with security requirements aligned to OWASP

05—About

The short version.

I'm a frontend software engineer with four years of experience shipping React and Next.js applications that people use, from large-scale campaigns to complex product workflows.

The work I like best sits where the frontend stops being straightforward: a rich-text editor that struggles at hundreds of pages, multiple games sharing one application, or a real-time session that has to behave predictably across devices. Those problems need architecture, profiling and careful testing — not just components.

I also take on independent frontend work, working directly with product, design and backend teams.
